President MachenPresident Machen to Give Sustainability Report Card

UF president updates on university progress

As part of the UF Campus and Community Sustainability Conference, President Machen will be giving his annual "sustainability report card" for the University of Florida on Wednesday, October 25, at 9 a.m.

In last year's address, President Machen highlighted the University of Florida's recent achievements in sustainability and set goals, including making the university zero waste by 2015.

Game Day Recycling Takes Off

Green TeamThe Green Team is talkin' trash on game days.

In partnership with Keep Alachua County Beautiful, UF volunteers are keeping tons of tail-gator cans and bottles out of the landfill. An estimated 14,000 lbs of trash will be recycled into new cans, bottles, fleece jackets, and other products after this football season.
