Dining Services

UF has worked with ARAMARK’s Gator Dining Service to develop an action plan for implementing principles of sustainability into food service operations, including regional sourcing of food, green catering, waste management and diversion, energy conservation, transportation impacts, sustainable procurement, and communication and marketing. To date, the two dining halls on campus, the Fresh Food Company and Gator Corner Dining Center, are now sourcing locally grown food and offering vegan options. Gator Dining is also in the process of switching over all of its disposable service items to biodegradable and reduced waste options. ARAMARK is committed to doing business with integrity and high ethical standards and to making decisions in the best interests of employees, clients, communities and shareholders.

Recognition

UF was named one of the Top 10 Best Vegetarian-Friendly College in the United States by People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA).
